Glucosamine sulphate is a combination of glucosamine and either sodium or potassium chloride. Whilst glucosamine is the active agent, sulphate is the delivery method of this agent to our bodies so it can be absorbed.
Glucosamine is a naturally-occurring amino sugar used by your body to make various chemicals, such as glycosaminoglycan and glycoprotein, which are in turn utilised to build your joints. This includes ligaments, tendons and synovial fluid.
The synovial fluid allows your bones to freely move across one another whilst minimising friction and allowing joints to move without causing pain.
We've all felt sore and achy after a hard day. This naturally-occurring sugar helps joints move freely.
